Meet our Founders
Kith + Kin started with a shared vision: to create a space where little ones can explore, grown-ups can connect, and everyone feels welcome. Get to know the two moms behind the space, our love of thoughtful design and meaningful play, and the community we’re so happy to be building.
Eden Coffey
Before creating Kith + Kin with my partner Jess, I was a public health nurse with a specialty in early childhood development. I worked for a non-profit home visit program that served young children and their families all over Philadelphia. Working with so many families, I noticed the instinctual need for support and community (which was often lacking) to share in the incredibly important role of raising a child. When I had my son, I didn't know that many moms, and deeply craved those parent relationships. After meeting Jess, we knew we wanted to create a space for the community to support one another on this journey. We wanted a space for children to thrive through meaningful play, and parents to connect on a deeper level through sharing their stories, challenges, and wisdom with one another. I hope that you come and feel all the love and intention we put into Kith + Kin, because here, you are family. If you see me in the space, please say hi! I could talk baby raising all day :)
When I’m not living Kith + Kin, you can find me outside on adventures with my family, or at home with something in the oven and the music up loud.
Jess Jones
Before Kith + Kin came to life, I left a career in fashion to become a stay-at-home mom to my son, Bo. While I felt so lucky to spend that time with him, I also found motherhood to be incredibly isolating. Then I met Eden, and after months of bonding over first-time motherhood and countless playdates, Kith + Kin began to take shape. We wanted to create a space where families could find connection, feel supported, and know they weren't alone in this wild, wonderful, and sometimes overwhelming journey of parenthood. I'm so grateful for the community we've built together and all the people who have helped make Kith + Kin what it is today.
When I'm not at Kith + Kin, I'm usually hanging with my family, running the kids to sports and activities, or working on our house. If you see me around the space, please come say hi and introduce yourself! I always love meeting the families who make this community so special.
