Postpartum Mental Health Group

at least one in five moms and at least one in ten dads experience a postpartum mood disorder, but so few talk about it. the postpartum period, often called the fourth trimester, can be a time filled with isolation, anxiety, and sadness. this can all feel even more confusing if you are also experiencing the many highs of becoming a new parent. every month, this group, led by a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in perinatal and postpartum mental heath, will explore a different topic related to mental health and the transition to parenthood.

this month’s topic: feeling confident in early parenthood. parenthood is the first job you've had with no performance review. this group will focus on the intense feelings of doubt in capability that lead many new parents to feelings of depression and anxiety.
